The Domaine de Bellene was created in 2005, following the proposal by a number of winegrowers who wanted to have some of their vines exploited in the form of rental. Thus, this new vineyard was conceived with a desire to control the entire production process, from the vineyard to the marketing of the wines. We then strived to produce very high quality wines with perfect balance. Our estate is set in very old, historical buildings bought in 2006 at Rue du Faubourg Saint Nicolas in Beaune. It took some time to restore the buildings dedicated to production in accordance with the "High Environmental Quality" standards, to enlarge the existing plots by buying vines, to invest in high-performance winemaking equipment respecting the integrity of the grapes (stainless steel thermo regulated winery, non-crushing de-stemmer, vibrating sorting table, sorting belt, gravity vatting stainless steel buckets, pneumatic horizontal press, vertical ratchet press, vertical stainless steel press, etc.). Then 2007 marked the first vinification of the estate.

The original 13.85 ha plots of land extended from Santenay to the Côtes de Nuits Villages with three major appellations Saint-Romain, Beaune and Savigny-Les-Beaune. We craft our wines in organic farming and we have always sought to work the vines in the respect of the soil so that the grapes are very healthy and of very high quality in terms of phenology.
